Discovered by WPNZR’s itinerant West Coast A&R head honcho Cook (a main player behind the seminal and much-missed band Monkeytribe, and the guy who also brought you the delectable Daddy_Scrabble), Comma are a fascinating proposition for lovers of epic, heartfelt instrumental music.
With all the intricate musicianship of Can or Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and all of the sonic experimentation of Battles or Cougar but with less of the electronic hocus pocus, they are a math rock band in the classic sense – musicians playing complex arrangements in perfect synchronicity, to devastatingly beautiful results.
Echoes of 90s alt-rock and progressive jazz fusion flutter through these six exquisite tracks, providing a listening experience that is as challenging as it is immersive.
